Julia Pickard was born and raised in rural Pennsylvania (and looks like it). She studied Modern & Contemporary Dance at the Capital Area School for the Arts in Harrisburg and earned her BFA in Physical Theatre at Coastal Carolina in May of 2024. She trained intensively at the Accademia dell’Arte for a year under the tutelage of Nhandan Chirco, Chiara d’Anna, Andre Casaca, Mitsuru Saseki, Alessio Trevisini, and other working professional artists. Her primary art form is choreography, but she can also be found experimenting with filmmaking, writing, and performance art. She has chipped the same tooth seven times and blames its inability to stay in one piece as the reason for her fragmented artwork.
